Just wondering if this is a future possibility or on the horizon?
it has been discussed, but TBH, we’re waiting to see how large an audience it is. So far… not so large.
Seconded. Would be really helpful for AVID to DaVinci workflows.
Congrats on the integration! Have it a test run and no joy today. Was very fast but seemed to place the first edit only and then went haywire off the track
I was reconfirming multiple 4 hour long audio tracks from an EDL into a 1 hour timeline. Worked as expected in pro tools but took over an hour.
Any tips and tricks or pitfalls to be aware on in fairlight?
Make sure you’re on the latest version of Resolve. If you already are, then report this to Resolve support.
And you could try doing this on just 1 track as a test.
Unfortunately, we have no control over the execution of the reconform - that’s mostly taken care of by Resolve itself.
RE: Pro Tools reconform:
An hour!?!?! Have you got all your tracks deactivated and automation thinned before starting?
And if the session is really really dense, you could try slowing the reconform speed in MB settings.
actually - if you’re on latest Resolve, and you have an example session and recipe to reproduce the issue, send to me and I’ll get it to the right people.
Will do, going to run another test but am smack bang in the middle of a project. Seems to be actioning something but getting time codes mixed up.
What’s the best way to send you a recipe ? In this case it is literally just an EDL into matchbox
And yeah an hour ! But think that was including cut markers which weren’t necessary. This case is literally 10 x 4 hour mics being conformed to match a 50 minute runtime with roughly 1000 edits

Sound like the old bug in older PT version when “markers folow edit” is on (known issue). It’s a PT bug. Either update to the current version of PT or turn off “markers follow edit” in PT. The latter will cause EVERY copy/paste command to take about 30 seconds or more even when you do it fully manually.
