Hi there,
Can anyone tell me how to get this working?
Following the directions in the manual, I right click on the audio guide track that is loaded in the top pane of Matchbox.
I see the option “Match-back to External Files” when I right click…
However, it does not do open anything…
What am I missing here?

Oh - we had a bug in 2.0 where the top timeline didn’t allow match-back.
Use the bottom timeline (the NEW timeline) or upgrade to 2.1.1
Sorry - that fix actually hasn’t made it into a release yet.
For now just use the NEW timeline for matchbacks.

HI, I have a follow up question,
I’m able to matchback and get an assembly in the matchbox timeline. However, to get this into the DAW the manual says “Once you have your new clips collected into Matchbox, you can select them and “Assemble Selected in DAW”.
How do i get this to work? Nothing happens when I try to do this.
Are you in PT 25.6?
Can you check the log file after attempting this? Help → Show Log File

I see what is happening.
Firstly, this feature requires The Pro Tools Scripting Library (PTSL) and PT2025.6 is required for this feature.
In your case you have the PTSL pref disabled in Matchbox, and so its not giving you the alert message which you’d normally get warning about needing PT2025.6
Bottom line is you need recent PT for this feature.
