Pro Tools Session info as text

Hello everyone,

I need to reconform a film that has been recut using only my stems, so I need to have my untouched stems at position in the old sequence and the recut stems in the new sequence.

I have done this many times in MB, no issues with “Promote selected clips…”, but I was sure I only had to drop a “Session info as text” from Pro Tools only containing EDL of my stem tracks in the old sequence. MB2 does not seem to recognise Pro Tools text….

No big deal, I use AAF instead, it’s working, but Pro Tools generates useless medias.

I may be dreaming but I had memory of MB1 reading session info from Pro Tools…

Or is there. way to create offline (no media) AAF from Pro Tools?

that Session Info Text export from PT has a bug we recently discovered and decided it was safest not to support it any longer. Instead you can “import selected tracks from DAW” directly. This has some safeguards to work around the pro tools bug. In particular it will refuse if there are crossfades on the track. (annoying but necessary, sorry)
