When using the “Promote selected clips to match ranges” Matchbox nicely makes a match according the new cut timecodes. When promoting another clip the previous match disappears. Selecting both clips and perform a “promote” will keep both matches. I thought I needed to confirm somehow the promoted clip to stick in the match track. How can make several promoted matches and keeping them?
Just as you say - select all the ones you want and promote once.
That works. What if I have promoted some clips and I want to add another one or want make a manual match? Could the previous promoted clips be stamped as match so that they stick on the match track?
manual matches never clear the timeline - only promoting clips does that. Yes I suppose we make it that “promote” doesn’t clear the timeline. I’d have to have a think about negative side effects.
