URGENT: First-time user - Matchbox 2 creates markers but won't copy clips (Pro Tools 2026.4.0)

Hi everyone,

I’ve just installed Matchbox 2 and I am using it for the very first time. I’m on a very tight deadline and need to solve this issue urgently.

The Issue: I’m trying to run a reconform, and while Matchbox successfully creates all the markers (Diff, Cut, User, etc.) in the correct positions, it is not copying or pasting any audio or video clips. The markers appear at the destination, but the timeline remains empty of media.

My Setup:

  • Pro Tools Version: 2026.4.0

  • Matchbox Version: Matchbox 2 (Fresh install)

“Run Reconform” Settings:

  • Reconform Type: Pro Tools

  • Target Rate: 30

  • Use Pro Tools Scripting API: ON (Enabled/Blue)

  • Copy Offset: 00:30:00:00 (Where my current work is)

  • Paste Offset: 00:00:00:00 (Target destination)

  • Options: Everything is checked (Reconform Clips, Send Markers, Clean Auto Gaps/Cuts, Create Shot/Scene Tracks, etc.) EXCEPT for “Cut / Paste”.

Symptoms: Since the markers are being created at the correct destination (starting at 00:00:00:00), the communication and offsets seem to be working. However, the actual clips from the 30-minute mark are not being copy. My clips in tracks are selected in Pro Tools.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to deliver this project as soon as possible.

I believe we resolved this over email, but for posterity and for anyone else landing here:
The OFFSET fields in the Run Reconform window are exactly that: offsets.

So if your AAF/Video/GT etc is sitting at 1hr in matchbox, putting 00:30:00:00 in the copy offset will make MB copy from 01:30:00:00

You can mess with the timeline positions in MB using the < and > nudge buttons, or a couple of =menu items in the Sequence menu.
Or you can adjust the OFFSET used when running the reconform.
