Hi, I have a license for Slapper v3, but I would like to continue using version v2. On your website, it says that Slapper 2.1.9 Mac OS also runs under a Slapper 3 iLok license, but unfortunately Pro Tools requires a v2 license. What can I do in this situation?
I’m working across several workstations, and I’d like to avoid a scenario where, on a system with Slapper v3 installed, I’m unable to set automation, since the new parameters introduced in v3 (I assume such issues may occur) do not carry over to v2.
What do you mean “Pro Tools Requires a v2 license”?
Pro Tools plays no part in the licensing stuff - it’s just iLok.
Can you please paste the exact error message you are seeing?
I suspect you have ST instead of Surround or vice versa.
FYI: v3 can open session and automation from v2 and it should work the other way as well. You just have to remember that any new features (like crosstalk) will not be present in v2 so you can’t rely on those features if you know you’re going to send the session to v2.
